Spousal Support for homeschooling
So, you’re interested in homeschooling and you want to bring it up to your husband and you are not sure that they are going to be supportive. Be intentional and make a plan…
express the importance of WHY you want to homeschool
identify and address the concerns he may have and back it with research or a solution
The primary concern for most is socialization. Here are examples of what you could do to help increase your children’s socialization. Also, having a discussion with a public school teacher regarding socialization expectations and opportunities in a normal school day my open their eyes to how little of opportunities they have.
Ideas to add to your homeschool schedule to increase socializations
our playdates Mondays (or find one local to you)
Attend our lifeskill Play ( for kids 2 to 7 years old)
go to libraries once a week
Friday co-op opportunities
include them in sports or extracurricular activities during the hours the kids commonly their age have them
Sometimes people can have biases against something because they haven’t taken the time to learn or explore themselves and it is our of the normal way of our society. Your interest in homeschooling is valid. If you have any questions or information, look to our homeschooling tab or attend our virtual homeschooling group!
